We’ve taken raw, organic almonds, soaked & then dehydrated them and coated the final product with nutritional yeast and a touch of salt. The perfect fuel to keep you going through your busiest of days!

So what exactly are activated almonds you may ask? Simply put, they are almonds that have been soaked in water for 24 hours before being dried at very low temperatures. This treatment has many health benefits! Almonds have natural enzyme inhibitors which prevents them from sprouting in dry, unsuitable conditions. Unfortunately, these inhibitors actually prevent almonds from releasing their full nutrients. Soaking them allows for the activation of the sprouting process, breaking down these inhibitors and allowing all the nutrients to be properly released – delivering a boost of vitamins and minerals! A second benefit to breaking down these enzyme inhibitors is that it allows the almonds to be more easily digested, which aids in preventing digestive distress. And lastly – they taste better! Soaking the almonds helps in removing toxic tannins, which are naturally found in the skins of almonds, which can leave a bitter flavour and a chalky feeling in the mouth. Once activated, almonds lose that unsavoury flavour and leave them lighter, crunchy and oh so good!
